Entering Relationship with Psilocybin

Every relationship begins differently.

Some people arrive with clear intentions. Others arrive with questions that have not formed into words. Some arrive through grief, illness, change, curiosity, or a felt sense asking to be met.

The invitation is to begin and honor  where  you are as you are. Wisdom  knows the way.

If something within you recognizes itself here, you are warmly welcome.

This work may resonate with you if you are:

  • Living with a serious illness, mortality, or end-of-life concerns
  • Moving with grief, loss, uncertainty, or ancestral sorrow
  • Integrating life-changing experiences, initiations, or periods of deep reorientation
  • Feeling drawn toward remembrance, deeper belonging, or reconnecting with what feels essential
  • Experiencing a life transition or identity shift
  • Tending patterns shaped by intergenerational trauma
  • Companioning a loved one through illness, dying, or caregiving
  • Experiencing loneliness, disconnection, or a longing for deeper connection
  • Feeling ready to meet yourself or your life in a new way
  • Feeling curious about what this work may have to offer

Reciprocity

Psilocybin has been held in relationship by Indigenous peoples across generations. I approach this work with gratitude, humility, and an ongoing commitment to learning.

A portion of my facilitation income is shared with organizations that support Indigenous communities, cultural preservation, ecological stewardship, and the ongoing care of these traditions.

For me, reciprocity is more than financial. It is also a way of living—one that continues through how we care for one another, tend the places we call home, and honor what the ceremony asks of us long after Journey Day has ended.

When you’re ready, continue below to learn more about the journey, the different ways we may work together, and what you can expect along the way.

Psilocybin Journeywork

Preparation, Journey Day, and integration are woven together as one unfolding ceremony. Each invites deeper relationship with yourself, with psilocybin, and with what is ready to emerge, be witnessed, remembered, or brought into awareness.

The ceremony begins in preparation through conversation, reflection, and intention. Journey Day offers dedicated time to listen deeply and be in relationship with your own inner knowing. Integration continues the ceremony by creating space for the insights, questions, and invitations that often continue unfolding long after the journey itself.

This work is offered in a non-directive, relational way that honors your autonomy, your lived experience, and your unique relationship with psilocybin. My role is to tend the conditions that allow the ceremony to unfold at its own pace and according to its own wisdom.

The Journey

Preparation

Preparation begins with a time of connection, listening, and shared understanding. Together, we will explore your intentions, questions, curiosities, and any concerns you may be carrying. We will discuss set and setting, review Oregon Health Authority requirements, and thoughtfully prepare for Journey Day.

These sessions offer time to become familiar with one another, deepen trust, and prepare for the ceremony ahead. Many people notice that reflection, dreams, insights, and moments of awareness begin emerging before Journey Day arrives. Simply choosing to enter into relationship with this work often marks the beginning of the ceremony itself.

Journey Day

Your facilitated psilocybin session takes place at a licensed psilocybin service center in Oregon.

Together, we will create an environment that reflects your intentions and supports your unique relationship with psilocybin.

Journey Day generally lasts between five and eight hours, depending on your chosen dose, your unique process, and the time needed for arrival, administration, observation, and closure.

Throughout the day, I offer a steady, attentive, and compassionate presence while honoring your autonomy and your own inner wisdom. My practice is non-directive and relational, allowing your experience to unfold at its own pace and according to its own wisdom.

Dose is thoughtfully established together during preparation.

Integration

Integration is a continuation of the ceremony and begins in preparation.

The weeks following Journey Day offer time to reflect on what has emerged and continue listening for what is unfolding. Research suggests that the two to four weeks following psilocybin may be associated with increased neuroplasticity and openness to new perspectives, patterns, and possibilities. Many people also notice continuing shifts in dreams, emotional awareness, creativity, relationships, and connection with themselves, others, and the more-than-human world.

Our integration session is typically scheduled within the first week following Journey Day and offers space to listen for the insights, questions, gifts, and invitations that continue to unfold.

Ways to Journey

Whether you feel called to a one-day ceremony, a two-day process, or a community journey, there is no expectation that you know what is right for you before we begin.

Our preparation sessions offer space to listen together for what feels most aligned with your intentions, your pace, and your unique relationship with psilocybin. From there, we will choose an approach that reflects the care, support, and time that best serves your journey.

A Reverent Practice

This work is held with deep respect for the Indigenous peoples and traditions that have carried relationships with psilocybin-containing mushrooms across generations. I approach this work with humility, gratitude, and an ongoing commitment to cultural respect, ethical practice, and reciprocity.

Offered within Oregon’s licensed psilocybin framework, this work honors both the wisdom of lived experience and the mystery that can emerge through relationship with psilocybin. Each journey is unique, inviting deeper listening to oneself, to the body, to community, and to the larger web of life.

My role is to offer a steady, compassionate presence and a thoughtfully held container where each person’s relationship with psilocybin may unfold at its own pace. Together, we create space for curiosity, insight, grief, wonder, and the many ways healing and reorientation can emerge.

This work is dedicated to María Sabina.

The Science and Mystery of Psilocybin

Psilocybin is a naturally occurring compound found in certain mushrooms. In the body, it becomes psilocin, which interacts with serotonin receptors involved in mood, perception, and awareness.

During this time, communication across the brain becomes more fluid. Areas that do not usually connect begin to exchange information, often opening new perspectives and emotional access.

Research from institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, New York University, and University of California San Francisco suggests that psilocybin may support people experiencing depression, end of life distress, anxiety, and grief.

Psilocybin is associated with a softening of the brain’s default mode network, which is linked to repetitive thinking and rigid patterns. At the same time, there is increased neuroplasticity, allowing for new connections and new ways of relating to what is being experienced.

In periods of prolonged stress, depression, or trauma, patterns in the brain can become more fixed over time. This may be felt as narrowing, where thoughts, emotional responses, or ways of relating begin to repeat and feel harder to shift. In some cases, this is associated with reduced neural flexibility or atrophy in certain pathways.

Within a psilocybin session, these patterns can loosen, creating conditions where different connections and perspectives become more accessible.

Many people notice:

increased emotional openness
new perspectives or insights
a sense of connection to self, others, or the natural world
the ability to relate differently to past experiences

From another lens, this can feel like the usual voice of the mind quiets, making space for other layers of knowing to come forward.

This work opens space for a more direct and compassionate awareness of what is already present within you.
